3 days ago, we went to Tasca (2 hour drive) for a very specific truck for my son. It was a 2022 Superduty with 50k miles. First question, as it was a Kentucky built truck, shipped originally to Canada ( seen on the window sticker), was about the warranty. We then drove it, and started the process of buying it, pending the warranty. We were then told it has NO warranty, because of being a Canadian truck ( a U.S. truck would have 10k miles of drivetrain and 50k diesel warranty remaining). As it was not discounted at all, ( we were willing to pay the premium market price, as the truck was nice). They said they've never had Canadian vehicles for sale. They offered to SELL us a warranty for (estimated...actual price given AFTER we buy the truck $8500), and they would pay $3000 towards it, then said they couldnt even do that. The next day, day 2, we received a call, saying that we could buy a warranty for $6500. I stated my displeasure in having to buy a warranty on a low mile $63000 truck. I called THE NEXT day ( day 3), Sunday, left a voicemail twice for the sales manager......no return call. Lesson here is DO NOT buy a Canadian vehicle without doing your homework. There would be a sold sign on this truck if Tasca was accountable for knowing what they are selling. Paying a premium price for a truck with no warranty isnt happening, and we are not paying for one. Probably one of the larger Auto groups in the country , I wasnt impressed. Their slogan is "you will be satisfied"! Ive been more satisfied buying socks at Kohls. Message to Carl or Bob III, be open with these types of issues and adjust the price if need be. You didnt earn our business as I had hoped. Gary 4/27/25
