While my time in this dealership started out great with an associate named Chris, things quickly took a turn for the worst in a man named Doug. Chris was not able to test drive with us so we spoke with the supposed seasoned associate, Doug. Doug proceeded to mansplain and talk his way around every question we asked. My compainion would point out a feature on the car and he would proceed to repeat exactly what she said only with a poor explanation following as if we did not display clear knowledge on the subject. Doug on the other hand was not a reliable source for information. For example, when asked it the car was a hybrid he responded no, only to talk about regenerative braking minutes later. When a concern or complaint toward the car came up Doug would respond with his opinion and in doing so completely dismissing the original complaint. For instance, when a comment on how the car drove came up he responded saying "it didn't bother me". He upsold his opinion over the car itself. Doug also referred to us as "you women" on multiple occasions and even once attempting to mimic a women's voice in conversation. Doug was very tone deaf, created an uncomfortable environment, and was extremely unhelpful. We would have taken Chris and his three weeks of experience over Doug's six months any day. This man made us lose interest in Lincolns as a whole. Personally, I would recommend both further education and sensitivity training if Doug would like to continue a career in sales.
