title delay and registration obstruction

This should have been a great review. Had a great salesman and a great sales experience, but unfortunately, the post-sale has turned into a nightmare. It's been over 42 days since we bought the car and 21 days since the temp tag expired, AND STILL NO REGISTRATION! So the new car is just sitting in the garage because it's illegal to drive it. Worse is that the dealership seems indifferent. They keep sending me back to the salesman, who really has no control over anything. All they ever say is I'll get my tags when they get them. Now they're telling me the problem is that the car was re-possessed and they're having a problem registering it with that kind of title at the DMV. Meanwhile, I had to buy another car just to be able to get around. The only solution they're offering is to just keep waiting. I don't usually write negative reviews, especially over an "isolated" incident, but after reading their other reviews and various complaints on different sites, I realized this isn't as isolated as you might think, so I can't in good conscience recommend them. The initial experience of buying with them was outstanding, though, so my biggest recommendation, if you choose to go here, is to make sure they show you a clear title to the vehicle before you buy it, or elect to register it yourself if they allow that.
