Mazda 6 new transmission needed with under 10k miles I found a 2016 Mazda 6 sport with 42k miles on it for a decent price. The dealership had the carfax and it showed that the transmission was replaced at 9k miles. It was replaced at the same dealership it was originally bought from. The dealership is in Rhode Island which have some pretty cold weather, I’m thinking the owner might’ve had some fun with it during really cold weather and something happened. Just a guess. At 9k miles they would’ve put in a brand new transmission in it and not a rebuilt one, right? I went ahead and bought the car thinking it got a brand new transmission since it would still be under warranty. I’ve put about 7k miles on it and it’s running great so far. I keep thinking about that transmission. The rest of the carfax appears it has been well maintained since then. Did I make a bad decision? Would you have bought the car? Thanks
