unnecessary service recommendations, undisclosed parts damage

I don't know. I have given this place so many chances. I keep getting burned. I bought my volvo there. Great car. Never had any issues with the sales people . It's the service department that has issues. The guys will kill you with their smile and proper attitude of kindness making you feel like they really do care and they really are honest. Once I got a long list of what the car needed and I had to choose ( because I couldn't afford all of it which would have come to thousands of dollars ) I chose what I could afford and decided to take my volvo to the local mechanic to do the brakes which was "on the list " of emergency fixes. Well the pads were not anywhere near needing replacement. So right there RED FLAG. I wonder if the service department staff works on commission. They will up charge you, making it sound like its a life threatening problem your car has. Recently I went for an oil change, I thought , volvo, they know what they are doing. Well of course I needed a steering wheel knuckle, which I sorta kinda knew and then something about the fuel lines needed replacement ( which now that I think about it really didn't need to be done ) . So ok I agreed to have it done. I also asked them while they were in the engine could they adjust the head light, I had a hard time getting it in right. Tight squeeze , they said sure no charge. Two days later I opened my trunk and found my headlight harness with the wires ripped to shreds looks like it was burned all the wires were disconnected. I never once smelled an electrical fire. So Im thinking they stole the part and replaced it with junk. I will never go there again. Beware.
