I am writing this review for a recent experience I had with the Service department at Tasca Mazda part of Tasca Automotive Group in Cranston, RI. Having recently leased a car from this location, I thought it would be a great place to have service done. I have a 2007 CX-7 that starting having issues with the AC/Heat system. My in-laws have the same car and experienced an issue a few months back.. paid approx $1400 dollars (insane!!!) and then got a letter and a refund in the mail for what they thought wa a recall. Knowing this I called the dealership when the problem began and inquired about the recall. A very non-friendly woman answered the phone and said she needed the VIN to get the info and I had to call back. So I gave her the info and got a call back the same day saying there was no recall, but an extended warranty was issued on the AC compressor... wonder why?? Anways she asked the milage and scheduled my appointment indicating I was covered. So i brought the car in and provided info about the warranty and asked questions to the young man in the service dept and after some digging found out that I was not covered and that the receptionist was not really in a positiion to be providing warranty information... i was livid, clearly!!! So why did she give me that info.... what a waste of time it was for me. I asked how much the compressor would cost and he said several of hundreds of dollars he thinks.. He could for $79.95 take a look at my car. Seriously!!! Just to look at if after lying and wasting my time they were going to charge me. So i left and will unfortunately only return to service my leased vehicle because I have no other choice. A side note, i was offered "free" service for my lease...we shall see if that holds up! No renewing in 2 years for me! GO TO WAYNE's SERVICE PLUS IN PROVIDENCE for your service!
