Purchasing my first new car at Tasca has been an experience of continual shock and disappointment. Each time I go there I am newly surprised by the unprofessional behavior and outright rudeness of the staff, both within the "Quicklane" area and the main sales floor. Every sales person I have personally encountered has been extremely rude. On one occasion I was just looking around while waiting for my car to be serviced, and a sales person asked if I needed help. I said, "No thanks, just looking around." The person immediately degraded to childlike insults and teasing, offering to pay me to go run errands for him and things like that. It was really shocking. I mentioned the incident to another salesperson before we left but I doubt they did anything about it. Basically, even if you are just looking, pretend you are there to by a car. If a salesperson finds out you are just browsing, they won't just bid you a nice day and move along, they will stare you down, treat you bad, and make you feel like you shouldn't be there. Maybe I DO want to buy a car and I just don't want you breathing down my neck! Also - get EVERYTHING in writing. When I bought my car, right when we were about to sign the papers, the price of the car increased a couple hundred dollars! I was ready to walk away at that point but the salesperson said while he couldn't fix the price, he could give me several free oil changes to make up for the difference. We agreed that it was acceptable and I asked for him to please write it down or provide a voucher but he assured me it would be taken care of and they did it electronically. Of course, when I went to get my second free oil change, the service staff said that they NEVER gave more then one. I explained what happened when we bought that car and he still told me no way. I tried to go find the salesperson, but it turns out he no longer worked there (probably for giving out too many oil changes..). After a lot of back and forth they ended up agreeing to give me an additional two oil changes for free, which is not even close to the dollar amount we were owed, and the service staff acted contemptuous and rude that they had to make such a concession. We also agreed before signing that all costs would be paid for at that time. We did not want to have to pay anything when we picked up the car, including registration fees, etc., I wanted it all rolled into the payments. The salesperson told me this would be no problem at all. Of course, I go back a few days later to pick up the car only to be told I owe over a hundred dollars. I said absolutely not, pulled out the paperwork and showed them the additional fees that were added on the bill of sale. Unfortunately, the additional fees were not itemized so I could not prove the exact thing he was charging me had been lumped into that sum. I told him if he couldn't do something about that fee, I was leaving without the car. They found my salesperson who agreed that the fee SHOULD have been added in but WASN'T. That's not my fault! I finally caved and agreed to pay the fee and only then they decided to waive it for me. I don't understand why I had to go through so much trouble over a sum that is completely insignificant to them compared to the price I am paying for the car. Unfortunately I don't have lots of money lying around and that's why I wanted it included in my car payments. Today, (the day before the snowstorm), I called in early because I'm due for my third and final oil change. I knew there was a possibility they'd be closed due to the impending weather so I called ahead to see if they were open. The women I spoke to was condescending when I inquired about the oil change, "Um.. yeah.. you can obviously get an oil change!" I explained that due to the storm coming later today, I wasn't sure, but she said yes, we're open. I arrived literally 5 minutes later and they said they weren't doing an oil changes due to the snow. I told him I just called and they said you'd be open. He was like, "Well, there IS going to be a BLIZZARD later." I said, "WELL, that's why I called ahead and asked!" I just don't understand why an employee has to be RUDE about a mistake someone at their business made. Why is no one there capable of providing even the most BASIC sense of courtesy? Why am I treated with no respect every time I go there? I am pretty sure at this point I will simply forgo my last "free" oil change and severe ties with Tasca completely. I really love my car, but it has nothing to do with where I purchased it. "You will be satisfied!" is a really hilarious and ironic slogan considering how I've been treated. I urge anyone considering buying a new car: find somewhere else to do it that will treat you the way you deserve to be treated. You are spending a lot of money and it's not worth it to be treated like garbage every time you go back there. Tasca may try to put a band-aid on your problem, but only after they have hacked the wound irreparably.
