I had been a loyal Tasca customer for many years, having bought many cars there and referred people (who now know never to return there). I will never go there again. The Collision Center person I dealt (Frank) with is lazy and incompetent. I brought my car there when it was in an accident that was 100% the other drivers fault (even per his insurance co). I had a concern about a panel the insurance company had not listed. I described this to Frank and asked him to come look. He was too lazy to get up. He gave me every assurance he would put a supplemental in with the insurance company and get it all fixed. He even said they would touch up an unrelated scratch. I get called that the vehicle is ready. I pick it up and the bumper and rear quarter panel do not even line up (1/2 in gap), the rear quarter panel was not fixed and in fact Frank never put in a supplemental, he never even looked at the car before leaving a message is was 'fixed' (and I use the word loosely!). No paint was ever blended between the rear and side. Of course they never touched up the unrelated scratch because if you don't even fix what was damaged in the accident, clearly they will not do one thing extra for a customer! Now the real problem starts. Of course this bad driver's insurance is refusing to pay for the remainder of the damages and Tasca wants no responsibility for their incompetence. Tasca was not my advocate...I should have realized that when I saw that insurance companies framed plaque on the wall...Tasca and MetLife likely have a very special relationship with each other. I should have listened to the silly commercials and went to Providence Autobody. Also, when the accident happened and the bad driver tore the bumper off my car and bent my rear quarter panel, what become visible is rust. FORDs RUST in hidden places. This is part of the excuse the insurance company is now using to not fix everything. Do yourself a favor, do not buy a ford and do not go to the collision center in Cranston RI. I want to make sure this review is accurate and balanced. I have had pretty good luck in the past at the East Providence RI Service Center and have nothing bad to say about them.
